I have been caught up in my own life, so sorry for not updating much. As you all know him and Nicole had a baby girl, so congrats to them. Better late than never!! I will think about changing the layout sometime in the near future. It has been over a year… I think it is just that time. Haha.

Perhaps some new media too. Maybe even updating the picture gallery. Although I loathe doing as much. Maybe there is a plug in for bulk uploading finally. I will have to check… Have to delete a few affiliates since their sites are down. If you have any news that isn’t he said she said gossip, I would love to post it since I can’t search as much as I was able to before.

Joel Madden has hinted that he and fiancee Nicole Richie may move to Australia - at least part of the time - to raise their family.

The couple, who are expecting their first child together at the end of the year, have recently stayed in Sydney and on the country’s Gold Coast while Joel toured with his band, Good Charlotte and they now see the latter as somewhere to settle down away from the Los Angeles party scene.

Joel said recently: “People keep saying to us ‘how come you spend so much time down there?’ and I just say that it’s the best place in the world.”

He added that they would love to spend a minimum of three months a year down under and are looking to buy a home together: “I’m going to have a look around tomorrow for a place, a nice condo.”

“It’s only one flight man. The lifestyle here is insane.”

MEXICO TOUR RESCHEDULED!
Good Charlotte regrets to announce the rescheduling of their Mexican tour dates (November 8 -11) due to a bad fall and the severe injury to bass player Paul Thomas’ ankle and foot that he sustained during their Australian tour last week.

Benji explains, “Paul landed a bad jump on our recent tour of Australia… Now he has to go to physical therapy to repair the damage done to his ankle.”

“We want to apologize to our fans down in Mexico… we love the fans down in all the South American countries but Paul must fix the problem now or face constant pain and permanent damage to his ankle”, Joel explains.

Good Charlotte will announce the rescheduled dates soon as well as a South American tour later in 2008.

Joel Madden adds a hip-hop tinge to Good Charlotte

At least in public, Joel Madden leads a strange kind of double life. Those who know him from the “NICOLE AND JOEL” headlines - his girlfriend, tabloid queen Nicole Richie, is pregnant with his child - know little about his rock band. Those who know that Good Charlotte’s latest CD, “Good Morning Revival,” is a departure from the band’s shiny punk-and-pop sound couldn’t care less that Richie must serve four days in jail for a DUI.

Madden, 28, is far more animated when talking about Good Charlotte’s “Good Morning Revival” than his awkward paparazzi encounters.

“It’s so not-glamorous and weird and invasive. You don’t feel like, ‘Oh, I’m a star.’ You feel like, ‘Get the hell away from me,’” he says via cell phone, en route to a show in New Jersey. “It’s just weird. It’s something you’re always trying to get away from or hide from or run from.”

Touring with Good Charlotte - the band opens for Justin Timberlake tonight at Madison Square Garden - is a completely different experience. “You get on the road and it’s completely private,” Madden says. “You’re on a bus with your best friends you’ve known for 13, 14 years. That is the best, most quiet time, because you’ve known them for so long. We’re like family.”

Singer Madden and his identical-twin brother, guitarist Benji, were inspired to form Good Charlotte after catching a 1995 Beastie Boys concert and hooking up with a couple of high school pals. Music was an escape from a tough childhood - their father was an alcoholic, they’ve told interviewers, who abandoned his family when the twins were 16.

Their first two albums, including 2002’s “The Young and the Hopeless,” took off in the Backstreet Boys era, selling a combined 4.4 million, according to Nielsen Soundscan, and turning the twins and bassist Paul Thomas and guitarist Billy Martin into rock stars.

Their album sales have dipped, though, and for this year’s “Good Morning Revival,” the band hooked up with producer Don Gilmore and tossed out the playbook. He rejected each of the 50 or 60 songs the prolific Maddens wrote together. The new ones came out in a dance mode - “Keep Your Hands Off My Girl” and “Victims of Love” have light hip-hop overtones, and new drummer Dean Butterworth leans more disco than punk.

“It’s a new starting place for us. For the longevity of our band, for Good Charlotte to be around for two more records, we had to break free of the perceptions. And that’s not an easy thing to do,” Madden says. “What do people think of when they think of Good Charlotte? I often read us referred to as the band that did the eyeliner, and the all-black and the Hot Topic-y kind of band, that first wave of that young kind of pop-punk.

“I’m really proud of what we accomplished,” he continues. “But after 12, 13 years of being in a band, what is the next 10 years of our career going to be? Well, it has to be something new. Is it reinvention? I don’t know. It’s a change. It’s a good starting point.” (source)

Love Saved Nicole
A year ago Hollywood bad girl Nicole Richie and Bible-reading rocker Joel Madden would’ve seemed like an odd match. But those close to the couple – who are expecting a child together this winter – say that it was only a matter of time before the two got together.

As friends of the couple tell Us, Richie, 25, and Madden had circled each other for years, but did not officially meet until mutual friends introduced them at an event in late 2006. The two started an e-mail friendship – and when Madden split with singer Hilary Duff, 19, Richie made a move.

“Nicole pursued him,” says a source. “She said she liked how he was a ‘good mama’s boy’ in a bad boy body.”

Soon, the pair started going on dates around L.A., including a lunch at the Polo Lounge on December 3. By January, they were an item. After her DUI arrest (a “wake-up call,” for both of them, says the source), Madden asked her to trade her nightlife adventures for nights in.

Madden, 28, who grew up praying at Calvary Gospel Church in Waldorf, Maryland, and has a Sacred Heart (among other religious tattoos) on his forearm, has proven to be the stabilizing force the Simple Life star desperately needed. He even recites Bible passages to his girlfriend on a regular basis.

“Joel tamed her,” says a source close to the couple. “He took her from that dark path she was heading toward and turned her around into a truly responsible person.”

Adds a mutual friend of the couple, “Nicole brought out his fun-loving side, and he domesticated her.”

Pre-Jail Wedding?
Jail- bound, pregnant Nicole Richie and her boy friend, Joel Madden, are planning a September pre-jail wedding, Star magazine says. On July 27, Richie was sentenced to four days in jail for driving under the influence. The couple is eyeing a Friday, Sept. 21, wedding, the mag says, because Joel has a break from touring with his band, Good Charlotte, and because it’s Richie’s 26th birthday. She likely will do time Sept. 24-27, Star says. Wedding locale? Options include Joel’s mansion in Glendale, Calif.; the Bel-Air, Calif. home of Nicole’s dad, Lionel Richie; or a less public choice of Madden’s hometown near Annapolis, Md. (source)

Nicole Richie and her boyfriend, Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden, have apparently learned that they’ll be welcoming a son this winter.

The pregnant 25-year-old was told about the gender of her baby during an ultrasound at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in LA, and the couple have been given a due date of December 30 for their first child. (source)

Socialite Nicole Richie and her rocker boyfriend Joel Madden are reportedly having problems. Although the rumors have not been confirmed, Nicole is believed to be expecting her first child with Madden. She was seen with a growing ‘baby bump’ and was photographed constantly holding something in front of her stomach. Sources believe Nicole’s rumored pregnancy could be putting stress on the pairs relationship.

The couple had what was described as a “vicious blowup” outside a store in Annapolis. They were touring with Madden’s band ‘Good Charlotte,’ and they made a stop. Nicole went into a lingerie store to purchase a bra. When she came out of the store Madden exploded into a “very public, very brutal tirade.” Richie was described to be sitting in “stunned, submissive silence.”

“Joel used to be a nice guy, but his temper is flying loose these days. He’s overwhelmed, and he snaps because he’s got a lot on his mind. He finds fault with Nicole all the time,” a friend said. (source)

JOEL THE HOT HEADED BOYFRIEND?
Rocker Joel Madden and his girlfriend Nicole Richie were escorted out of a luxury California hotel on Saturday, after the Good Charlotte frontman almost came to blows with reality TV star Spencer Pratt.

Pratt was dining with his “The Hills” co-star and fiancee Heidi Montag when the incident at the Beverly Hills Hotel occurred.

Pratt claims Madden was angry about comments he was incorrectly reported to have made about Richie’s weight.

He tells In Touch Online, “I was sitting having a quiet lunch with Heidi when Nicole walked in and started pointing at me and then whispering to Joel.

“He storms over and starts shouting, ‘You’ve been talking [bleep] about my girl.’ I told him, ‘Please can we not do this at the Beverly Hills Hotel. This is ridiculous.’ Then he started screaming and calling me names.”

At this point, Madden and Richie were asked to leave the hotel.

Pratt adds, “It all stems from an interview in Details ages ago where I was misquoted calling Nicole a skinny bitch. It’s all a misunderstanding. I’ve always thought she’s a really nice girl and I wouldn’t call her that.” (source)

I love Good Charlotte, and despite how it looks, I do enjoy Joel Madden. Very much so, and I have tried not to cave into the pressure of rumors, but that I all I can really find. So I am hoping this site can help you keep it in perspective. The news is only going to report the bad things he has done. Those are the stories/pictures/video they can market to get people watching. He may end up being the greatest dad in the world, and just because there are frightful things being posted about him right now, doesn’t mean that is how he truly is. No one can be sure, only those close to him. So please before I get hate mail of die hard fans, or people who think he is a bastard, I am only posting what I find, and I will comment as I see fit.

Hello folks, as you all know GC is planning some new tour dates so I would head over to the site and check them out. On a personal note, I am pissed off that they are playing the HP Pavillion in my area. So much that Im not even going to go, fuck stadium seating. It’s all about the GA. Seats suck. Rock shows should never EVER be seating. But I see whats happening as the touring with Justin Timberlake? Yeah. Confuzalating, so tickets are probably also super expensive for shitty seats.. Not that I don’t love JT, but I don’t want to pay to see him the size of my pinky on stage while glancing at a tv to see the performance. If I wanted to watch tv, I’d stay home.
